Volunteering at the Surprise Shop of Trinity Church is an amazingly enjoyable experience! Our Volunteers work in every aspect of the shop’s day to day functions.

Front Desk Volunteers greet and assist customers coming in to shop. They ring and pack up their purchases as well as make appointments for consignment and answer telephone inquiries. This is a very social position that requires a love for customer service and working in a multifaceted role. Shifts are Monday thru Saturday either 10am-1pm or 1pm – 4pm. The schedule is very flexible and volunteers either work a set day of the week or month of their choice or they may come and glance at the monthly schedule and fill in when available. There are no minimum days to be worked. One day a month is great!

Consignment Volunteers meet with our consignment customers and work with them to write up their articles and price them appropriately. This position requires strong customer service skills and attention to detail. Consignment days are Monday and Thursday 10am-2pm and every third Saturday 10am-11:30 am.

Other Opportunities for Volunteering include doing markdowns, organizing merchandise, bookroom upkeep as well as assisting with our table at the Towson Farmer’s Market June thru November.
